Time Flies.
Tuesday, October 9, 2012
So i'm back with a blog post after a good 4 months. Quite a lot happened in the past 3 months. Shall start off with family.

My dearest sister Lyndsey flew back to Singapore from Texas on 17th June and she spent a good 2 months in Singapore till 20th August. I missed her so much during the past 10months that she was staying in the States. I'm sure all of us here in Singapore do. It felt great to have a sister back home and my siblings and i bonded like how we used to in the past. Hope Lyndsey had a great time when she was back in Singapore! Will be joining her over in the States in a couple of months!

Next, i shall share bout my updates on my life in the Army. Not much updates actually, except that i'll be off in Australia for a month for training! I would say that it is an experience and i love the cooling weather here during the evening actually! It has been 3 weeks since i've been away from Singapore and kinda miss everyone back there actually! Slightly less than 2 weeks to go and i'll be back! Once i'm back, i'm gonna clear off till i ORD on the 6th of December! Can't wait to be free as a civilian again after being in the army for 2 whole years!

Time really flies. Before i knew it, a good 6 months has already passed since i last blogged. This half a year seen my life at it's ups and downs. And yea, i kinda gave up on blogging for awhile. Finally took the effort to sit down and blog because i felt that i've been maintaining this blog since 2007. It's like my life diary for the past 5 years and i dont want to give that up.So much happened that i don't quite know where to begin. Alright, i guess i should start off from where i last stopped.

The main reason why i kind of gave up on blogging was because of my breakup. My life was in a turmoil and i didn't want friends and other people to see the devastated part of me. Rebecca and i broke up after 1year and 5months together. It was a peaceful breakup and we went separate ways after she told me that she has lost her feelings for me. This happened before during the course of our relationship but i managed to reignite the flame for her. But not this time.

Months passed and i've moved on and i met this girl. She's really friendly, outgoing, kinda crazy at times and sweet. She's my sister's bestfriend too. And yea, she's Shan. We met on the 25th of February by coincidence. At strange as it sounds, but we met up at my place. No no, don't get me wrong! How it happened was Shan contacted my brother asking whether she could meet up with him coz it was late and she had no where to go so she was wondering whether she could meet up with him. (my sister Lyndsey told my younger brother to take care of Shan like a sister) My brother was at home so Shan made her way to my place. Kinda awkward for her coz my parents were at home and they might have been wondering why would she come to my place at night all of a sudden when Lyndsey isn't even in Singapore! That was the first time i saw her. She came across as a friendly girl who kinda reminded me of my sister. (Maybe that's why they can click so well and become bestfriends!) We had no problem clicking with each other and the both of us went out subsequently. To cut the long story short, (shorter lol) somewhere along the way the both of us fell for one another and i plucked up the courage to ask her to be with me. It was a big step for me, coz after my breakup i kinda lost faith in love and felt that everyone would leave me one day anyway. Before i took the big move to ask Shan to be my girlfriend, i told myself that i want to work this relationship out and i really want this to be my last. There might be ups and downs, but i will be committed and work hard to make things work. As for Shan, she has been single for 3 years, so getting together with me was something big for her too i guess. It has been 3 months since i've started going out with her and about 2 months + since i have been with her. Things get rough at times, but i believe that there are always ups and downs in every relationship. We will make things work. I will do my best to make things work. Love is a feeling, and i'm loving Shan with all my heart.

It has been a long long time.

I haven't been blogging for a really long time. 3 months in fact! Guess this might have been the longest that i've left my blog vacant for ever since i started this blog back in 2007.

Many a time, i told myself to update my blog, but it's either due to my lack of time or my laziness that i kept telling myself to do it another day. So yea, here i am now, on this really free Sunday afternoon blogging about my past 3 months.

I don't quite know where to begin. Hmm, alright let's start from my last blogpost. So yea, my last blogpost was about my 1st year anniversary with my dearest girlfriend, Rebecca! Time flies, and add 3 months to that, we're now happily attached for one year and three months. :) But yea, within this course of 3 months, we had our ups and downs and in fact we really reached a really rocky stage whereby we were thinking whether to move on or to split. But yea, the both of us chose to continue to fight on and i'm proud to say that the love between us now is stronger than before! :D

Now that i've touched on my love life, i'll touch on my family next. My one and only dearest sister, Lyndsey, left for the states for her university education in mid-August. I was really worried for her initially because she's just 17 and she will be living there all alone. I'm sure that she will have a problem trying to adapt to the new environment, new people and the fact that we won't be there for her physically. But yup, 2 months into the life there and she's doing really fine! In fact i would say that she's a really smart girl who's aiming to score above 90 for every test and exam! Way to go Lyndsey! :D

I'm gonna touch a lil about myself next! I'll separate it into two parts. My army life and my personal life. Let's touch on my army life first.

For those of you who didn't know, after undergoing 6 months of training under the Specialist Command School after i passed out from BMT, i've finally made it through and achieved the rank of a Sergeant! I would say that it has not been an easy path. However, upon looking back, i'm glad i made it through and made new friends along the way. The memories and brotherhood i forged will remain too! So yea, i'm proud of myself! :D

As for my personal life, i would say that i've pretty much been spending my time with my girlfriend and my best friend on weekends. Oh yea, i recently signed a contract with Shine Model Agency as a part-time freelance model. I've received namecards from various modelling agencies such as Imodels, Shine models and Create Talent, but it's the second time that i'm receiving a namecard from Shine models after 2years and i thought that since i've no commitments during my National Service term, i might as well give it a shot.
So yup, that's all for my quick update on my life for the past 3 months! Hope i'll find the mood to blog again soon! :)

1st year anniversary! ♥
Tuesday, July 19, 2011
I just celebrated my one year anniversary with my dearest Rebecca Babygirl last Saturday on 9th of July 2011! Time really flies man, and before i know it, i have already spent one year with my dearest sweetheart. ;D

First of all, i would like to congratulate myself and my girlfriend Rebecca for being able to tide through to our first year together! Our one year came with ups and downs, and we do have our rough times like any normal couple. However, i believe that after every disagreement, it is important to talk things out and understand from each other's point of view. Communication is the key in every relationship! :)

This is my first time that i hit the one year mark in my relationship and i would like to say thanks a lot to my girlfriend for tolerating me, for putting up with my stubborness at times, and most importantly for loving me for the past one year. She taught me what love is all about and though she may say that she's not a sweet girl, i sincerly feel that she is such a sweetie! I remember the times during my recruit days when she would send and pick me up at Pasir Ris MRT control station every weekend without fail. She did this for 4 whole months. And after i was posted to Pasir Laba Camp to undergo training at SCS, i told her that she didn't have to send me off anymore coz my camp is all the way at Joo Koon and it is too far away for her! However, this sweet girl would still tirelessly take the train down to Jurong Point to meet me whenever i have night's out just to spend the few additional hours with me. And now that i have been posted to Stagmont Camp, she still tries her best to make her way down to Chua Chu Kang to meet me and spend time with me even if there was just time for a simple dinner together. Tell me, which girl would tirelessly make an effort to spend time to come down all the way just to see her boyfriend even after she had a tiring day at school!

So yup, as for our one year anniversary celebrations, i guess some of you might be curious about how we spent our day! We basically met up at Vivocity and had lunch at this awesome restaurant called "White Dog Cafe"! Awesome place with nice ambience and awesome food! The price is really reasonable too! :D After our sumptous lunch, we went to catch the Transformers! First time watching Transformers for the both of us (yea i know it's so popular and we haven't watched the first two series!) and it was awesome! After the 2 and a half hour movie ended, we took a monorial over to Sentosa! We purchased our day pass and off we were to have fun! I would also like to say how much effort i put into the card for my dearest Rebecca! I would write a monthsary letter for my girl every month, but as it was going to be our one year anniversary, i wanted the letter to be different and special so i made it in the form of a huge "card"! It was a cardboard-vanguard sheet card in the shape of a heart with photos of us and most importantly, my one year anniversary message to my sweetheart! I spent all my free time in camp making the gift, so i really hope she likes it! :D As for the present, i got her something simple yet significant to me. I bought her a ring! I spent quite some time choosing the ring and i brought her to the southernmost tip of Sentosa, which was on some small "island" and brought her all the way up to the top of the pavilion before singing her a song and taking out a rose from the back of my shirt and handing it to her. And yes, the rose contained the ring.:)

I shall let the photos do the talking! :)

I love this girl a lot, i really love her so much. Thanks for loving this blur and dumb boyfriend of yours and yes, you'll still love me no matter how weird you think i may be right? :P One year is not the end for us, however, it is a whole new beginning where we embark on our journey towards our second year, third year and every subsequent years after that. I love you dearest, and you know you mean the world to me. I need you more than anyone else on this entire planet could possibly ever need you. I need you to take care of me, to put up with me, and most of all i need you to love me, cause i love you. ♥

Haven't blogged in 2 months!
Haven't been blogging for about 2 months! In the blink of an eye, i have already passed out from SCS and i'm into my 5th week in Signals Institute! For those who don't know, i've been posted to Stagmont Camp to undergo training as a Signals Specialist! :)

Took me quite a while to adapt to a almost total different environment. Met new people and made new friends all over again. I even had to adapt to the different living environment in SI (Signals Institute) too! From climbing up 6 levels to my accomodation bunk, to having lectures from 8am to 5pm everyday, it's all a totally new experience for me! Especially the lectures from 8am to 5pm everyday coz it makes me feel like school all over again! The weekly tests, daily long lessons all making me feel so stressed up! But yea, i"ll do my best and in 2 month's time i'll be passing out as a Sergeant! :D

Quite happy with my life at Signals Institute now! Though i have lots of lectures and loads of tests to take every week, i am grateful that i am under a conducive aircon environment while my other friends who were posted to Infantry or other postings may be out in the sun doing fire movement or field craft!

Oh yea, and one more important thing to add! I celebrated my 1 year anniversary with my dearest Rebecca one week ago! I shall blog more about the 1 year anniversary celebrations in the next post! :)

Field camp week over!
Monday, May 16, 2011
I'm finally back from my hell week in BSLC! It's no other than the whole week of outfield training and finally the 3d2n field camp and section live firing! Fieldcamp has been a horror with the intense training from morning till night, not to mention under the really hot weather that reached 36degrees to make things worse! I'm so glad that this week is finally over and i'm able to book out to spend time with my loved ones. It has been really physically and mentally demanding during the past week and now that i've booked out, it's time for me to take a breather! Although i really dread fieldcamp a lot, after i'm done with the strenuous few days i really appreciate life much more. I appreciate the fact that i have water to drink as and when i want to, i can buy food to eat when im hungry and there's water available for me to take a bath. I also appreciate my loved ones more and i really miss my family members and my girlfriend so much during the past week. Whenever i feel like giving up coz i feel that the task is too tiring or physically demanding, i always tell myself that i must persevere and hang on because i know that my family and my girl will be morally cheering me on. So yea, i pulled through and here i am back at home blogging! Feels good to be out in the civilian world once again and enjoy the many luxuries that i can only dream of in camp! So yup, treasure life friends coz you will only know how lucky you all are until you've lost it all! :)

10th monthsary! ♥
Saturday, May 7, 2011
Haven't been blogging for quite some time! So yes, here i am back to blogging during my free time! I shall blog about my special day today which is my baby and my 10th monthsary! So yea, time flies and before we knew it, 10 months has passed! 2 more months to our one year anniversary and we are so looking forward to it! :D

So yup, for a change baby planned this month's monthsary! I had a lot of fun today! Thanks for the planning and i had a really sweet and fun time today dear! :) So here's how our day went! First stop was parkway's Sogurt because baby was a cutegirl today and i decided to bring baby there for a treat! We had a cup of Sogurt each and we had our own choice of awesome toppings! :D From Sogurt, we proceeded to Marina Square for our movie! We catched the 3.30pm show for Fast Five! Fast and Furious Five is finally out and i wanted to catch the show really badly! We went to purchase a cup of coke and popcorns before entering the cinema! Baby was kinda afraid that she would get bored coz she thought that it was gonna be an all cars kinda show but she kinda liked the movie in the end! Awesome movie, you guys should catch it! :) So yea, the movie lasted for almost 2 and a half hours and after the movie, baby revealed her "secret" plan to me! She told me that she had to go to the toilet and wanted me to hand over my handphone and first. And when she came out of the toilet, she handed me back my phone and asked me to check the drafts folder and i saw a whole list of 10 "missions" to complete! Here's what it says:

" 1. Take a photo of us with big rilakumma.
2. Take a photo of you wiping my mouth on helix bridge.
3. Take a photo of us with Merlion in the background.
4. Take a photo of the message of you asking me whether you could hold my hand.
5. Take a photo of us with Singapore flyer in the background.
6.Take a photo of us with a 1-dollar ice cream cart.
7. Take a photo of us on Esplanade rooftop.
8. Take a jump-shot photo of us with Marina Bay Sands in the background.
9. Take a photo of us on the Boat Quay Bridge. (Nicoll Highway)
10. Buy a whiteboard marker and draw a small heart shape on our right cheek. Cannot remove until the end of the day and take a photo of us with the heart.

HAPPY 10th MONTH! ♥ "

So yea that's what i saw in my draft message folder! I could accomplish any task in any order so i decided to take a photo with the big rilakumma soft toy since we were in Marina Square. We rushed to the arcade area near the cinema and we took a snapshot with rilakumma! One down and nine more to go! Oh yea, i forgot to add! I was also given a time limit to complete all ten tasks! I had one hour to do so! So after my first task, i decided to tackle the drawing of the heart shape task! So i tried to find a bookshop selling markers but in vain! I then decided not to waste time and proceeded to tackling the ice cream cart one! We made our way out of Marina Square down towards Esplanade and along the road, there was an uncle selling ice cream! I then purchased a cup of ice cream for baby before taking our snapshot! After that, we crossed the road and made our way up to the Esplanade rooftop! We took a snapshot of the Esplanade rooftop as well as a snapshot of the Singapore Flyer as a background! From there, we then proceeded to the Helix bridge. I first did the snapshot of helping baby to wipe her face with a tissue. How it all started was because we helped baby to wipe off some food stain on her mouth during our very first date on the Helix bridge! Yup! We went on to take our jumpshot photo with Marina Bay Sands in the background! After snapping both shots, we made our way towards Nicoll highway bridge! We took a photo while we were on the bridge and it was not long that we reached the Merlion! The big Merlion was under some sort of construction or maintenance so we took a photo with the miniature Merlion! 8 tasks done and 2 more to go! I then decided to complete the 'i wanna hold your hand' task! How it all started was i typed out a message to baby while we were sitting in the bus one fine day 10 months ago. I still remembered that it was on the fateful night of 14th July 2010! :D I was a shyboy so i didnt dare to say it directly but typed it into a message and showed it to baby instead! :P So yes, one last final task to complete! The drawing of the heartshape on our cheeks! I couldn't find a bookshop nearby to purchase a marker but i was smart enough to remember that Coffee Bean write their customer's orders on the cup with a black marker! So yea, i went over to borrow the marker and baby and i drew a heartshape for each other! I admit that it looks kinda gay on me and it's really very embarrassing walking around with the heartshape on my cheek, but i did it coz my baby planned the monthsary for me and as long as my baby is happy, nothing else matters! :) By the time i completed the ten tasks, it was already 7.30pm so it was time for dinner! Baby brought me to take bus 10 and we alighted along Tanjong Katong road and we went to this cafe called 'a pinch of salt' for dinner! The cafe looks really cute and the food there tastes nice! My baby ordered some sambal fish dish and i ordered beef stew plus an additional order of Lychee frizz! Finished our awesome dinner feeling very happy and i presented my baby with the monthsary letter and her present! I didnt have time for buying a present and i actually rushed out to buy the present when baby went to the toilet to type the draft message! So yea i bought her a bear in a gift box with flowers inside and a heartshape saying " I love you". A simple gift, but those three words convey everything that i feel about this girl i love. ♥ After leaving the cafe, baby told me that we still have one last place to go for our dessert! We crossed the road to this cafe called "Ice cream Kafe" and had awesome mashed it up ice cream! Baby chose the butterscotch ice cream flavour and mashed it up with gummy bears and Maltese! So yea, after the dessert, it was time for going home. We both made our way home and yea here i am back home blogging about my day!
